Royal Belum State Park is one of the oldest rainforest and living ecosystems in the world. The rainforest is surrounded by rivers, grassland areas and a huge lake which is known as Tasik Temengor. It is an excellent habitat for flora and fauna to survive and grow without any disturbance from hunting and deforestation. The forests which are lowland dipterocarp, hill dipterocarp and upper dipterocarp forests can be found in the Royal Belum State Park.

Besides, the human inhabitants in Royal Belum State Park are Aboriginals in Malaysia which are Jahai tribe. They will often doing activities such as hunting, fishing and doing agriculture activities for their daily routine. Furthermore, they are provided with basic facilities such as proper electricity supply and water supply. Education is also provided to them by the government.

Royal Belum State Park is a rainforest which is full of wildlifes and plants. Animals such as Clouded Leopard, Malayan Tiger, Sumatran rhinoceros, Malaysian sunbear, Tapirs and Asian Elephants can be found at here. The world’s largest bloom, Rafflesia is one of the rarest plants in the world and it can be found in Royal Belum State Park. It is a parasitic flowering plants that will attract the preys with the smell of ‘rotten flesh’.

Besides, permit to visit the park is required in order to visit the Malaysia ‘s oldest and largest reserved forest. Permit to enter the park must be applied through Perak State Parks Corporation. Your details must be submitted together with the application. Each permit application can only made by the tour guide who registered with Perak State Park Corporation. Permit application will require 1 day for Malaysians as well as foreigners.
Besides, lots of packages are provided for you when you wish to visit the parks. You can choose to stay in the Belum Eco Resort or you can explore the parks without staying at the parks. A lots of activities can be done in the park. Activities such as camping, jungle trekking, fishing and rafting are allowed to do in the park. Information of the packages for visiting the park will be provided by the Royal Belum State Park’s websites.
